Dr. Elisabeth Shanblatt was recently elected as co-president of Mayo’s Women in Science and Engineering Research (WiSER) group.  Their mission is "to create and foster interest, excitement, and curiosity about science and engineering research in young women, and allow early exposure to the fields of science and engineering."

WiSER runs activities within Mayo such as seminars, career development panels, and social events. They also do outreach, such as leading science learning activities with local Girl Scout troops and at the MN Children's Science Museum.
