Dr. McCollough featured in inaugural Medical Physics virtual issue

By Kristina Nunez

Via Medical Physics:

It is with great pleasure that we announce the publication of the inaugural virtual issue of Medical Physics on “Significant Advances in CT.” This issue is in honor of the 40th anniversary of Cormack and Hounsfield’s 1979 Nobel Prize for the development of the CT scanner. It consists of 19 important previously published papers that were curated by Dr. Marc Kachelrieß, an eminent CT researcher, and member of our editorial board. There are two accompanying videos — an introduction to the virtual issue and an introduction to the technology of x-ray CT. These were developed by Dr. Cynthia McCollough, another eminent CT researcher and the current president of AAPM.
