Summer nephrology projects funded
Recently, the CT CIC received special funding for two SURF summer students to work in the lab. The funding is provided by the Nephrology & Urology Summer Undergraduate Student (nuSURF) program run by Michael Romero, PhD.
The two projects accepted for funding were "A Problematic Approach to the In Vivo Determination of Mineral Composition in Kidney Stones" (Mentor: Shuai Leng, PhD) and "In Vivo Assessment of Stone Fragility" (Mentor: Cynthia McCollough, PhD).
The nuSURF students and the projects will be affiliated with NIH U54-DK100227.
