Research Fellow – CT Physics and AI

The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is seeking a qualified, postdoctoral Research Fellow for the multi-disciplinary CT Clinical Innovation Center. Applicants for this position must hold a Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

Candidates should have a strong background in X-ray physics and imaging science. Expertise in the development of machine learning algorithms for medical imaging tasks, such as image classification, lesion detection, segmentation, and image transformation, is essential. Excellent python programming skills are required. Candidates should be proficient in developing AI models using TensorFlow and / or PyTorch. Experience with physics-driven and multi-modal deep learning is preferred. Candidates must have a record of research publications and have excellent oral and written English communication skills. The successful candidate will be expected to publish significant research findings, provide presentations at academic conferences, and participate in the lab’s applications for extramural funding.
